Gnome CUPS Manager

gnome-cups-manager

You can either open it from the command line by typing "gnome-cups-manager", or from the Applications menu. You'll find it under "Applications > Desktop Preferences > System Tools > Printing":

Adding A Local Printer

1. Open the Print Manager as described above. ": 2. Check if there is already a printer defined. I'll assume not, and there is nothing in the window except "New Printer". 3. Double click "New Printer".

4. Leave "local printer" selected and click "Forward"

5a. At this point if we're lucky it will say "use detected printer" and will have your printer listed. Click Forward.

5b. If not, click the 'Use another printer" radio button and from "Printer Port" select "USB Printer #1". Click Forward, then on the next screen select "Epson" as the manufacturer and "Stylus C43UX" as the model. 6. Enter a name and description (These don't matter much, just put in "Epson" or something). Click Forward.

7. Next screen is just confirmation. Click Apply. 8. You'll then be asked for the root password to save the new printer, so enter 123456.
